$1m ocean sustainability initiative launched in Africa

BFA Global, FSD Africa, and the International Union for Conservation of Nature  have launched the Africa Blue Wave, a $1m initiative to support tech startups focusing on sustainable livelihoods and ocean resource use in Africa. This initiative will recruit 40 innovators from Kenya, Tanzania, Comoros, Madagascar, and Mozambique, providing them with mentorship, expert guidance, networking opportunities, and initial capital investment to develop climate and ocean solutions. The goal is to create locally-driven climate solutions that address Africa's blue economy challenges and promote sustained ocean health. (Africa.com)
