# AKVA partners with Inseanergy for solar-powered aquaculture in Chile

AKVA Group has partnered with Inseanergy, a Norwegian floating solar company, to introduce solar energy into fish farming operations in Chile. This collaboration aims to transition from fossil fuels to solar energy, enhancing sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of aquaculture. With Chile's high solar energy potential, this initiative promises to revolutionise fish farming by employing floating solar power plants alongside hybrid battery systems for efficient, low-emission operations.  ([Offshore Energy)](https://www.offshore-energy.biz/akva-group-and-inseanergy-eye-floating-solar-energy-for-chilean-aquaculture/)
