BG freight line launches four advanced eco-friendly vessels

 BG Freight Line has introduced four innovative ships designed to reduce carbon emissions significantly, each featuring state-of-the-art CO2 and sulphur scrubbers and increased cargo capacity. The ships, named BG Green, BG Blue, BG Red, and BG Orange, can each carry up to 1,380 containers, 300 more than their predecessors, optimising efficiency per container transported. Equipped to operate on methanol, these vessels represent a stride toward sustainable maritime logistics. The first to set sail, BG Green, embarked from Liverpool to Rotterdam, marking a significant step in Peel Ports Group’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. (Sea News)
