Norwegian land-based fish farmer Bue Salmon successfully completed its first production cycle of harvest-sized salmon, selling 514 tonnes. The company's pilot facility on Gjørøyna island features four circular tanks, each holding 3,700 cubic meters of water, and uses significantly less energy than typical RAS facilities. Bue Salmon plans to expand its capacity from 1,400 to 5,500 tonnes in Bulandet and aims for an annual production of 50,000-60,000 tonnes at a new facility in Lutelandet. (Fish Farming Expert)
