Chinese alliance creating the country's first green methanol industrial chain

Chinese companies COSCO Shipping, State Power Investment Corporation, Shanghai International Port Group, and China Certification & Inspection Group have signed a memorandum of cooperation to kick off the construction phase of the green methanol industrial chain project. This project encompasses the production, transportation, refuelling, and certification of green methanol for ships, aligning with the trend of green, low-carbon, and intelligent shipping. The parties aim to drive the implementation of the first batch of green methanol production projects in China and explore other green fuels for shipping in the future. (Offshore Energy)
