# enfinium to invest £1.7bn in carbon capture

enfinium, a leading UK energy from waste (EfW) operator, has unveiled its Net-Zero Transition Plan, committing £1.7bn ($2.14bn) to integrate carbon capture technology across its facilities to achieve net-zero emissions by 2033. The strategic investment aims to transform its plants into decarbonisation hubs, significantly reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions seven years ahead of the industry target. The plan, verified by Arup, outlines initiatives for generating significant carbon removals and enhancing local communities' sustainability through innovative energy solutions.
