French Government issues grant for Lhyfe's green hydrogen plant

Lhyfe, a leading French renewable hydrogen producer, has received a substantial grant of up to €149m ($161m) from the French government for constructing a green hydrogen production facility near Le Havre. The facility, set to have an electrolysis capacity of 100 MW, aims to produce up to 34 tonnes of green hydrogen daily, supporting the decarbonisation of the region's industrial port area. This project, recognised by the European Commission as a significant step towards common European interests in hydrogen, solidifies Lhyfe's position in the renewable hydrogen sector and aligns with France's decarbonisation efforts. Scheduled to be operational by 2028, the project's realisation is subject to various regulatory approvals and final investment decisions. (Offshore Energy)
