Goterra and Skretting Australia are turning food waste into sustainable fish feed

Food waste climate tech startup Goterra, known for its maggot-based recycling systems, has partnered with Tasmania’s aquaculture feed supplier Skretting Australia. Goterra's black soldier fly larvae convert food waste into high-value protein, now used for fish feed. The collaboration supports sustainable seafood production and reduces carbon emissions by 97%. Skretting Australia's validation of insect meal addresses the rising demand for sustainable fish feed. Goterra, which has expanded across six locations and previously raised $18m, is now seeking a Series B funding round to further its innovative circular economy solutions. (Startup Daily)
