Green Marine enhances marine monitoring amid growing wind sector

Green Marine UK is expanding its Environmental Monitoring services to provide comprehensive project solutions, following increased demand from the Scottish Government’s Marine Directorate. Over the past 18 months, the company has conducted extensive Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) operations, retrieving around 40 devices across 250 nautical miles. PAM uses hydrophones to monitor marine life and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, essential for offshore wind development. Green Marine has secured direct contracts with wind farm operators and will launch new projects in Q4 2024. The scale-up aligns with the UK’s goal to triple offshore wind capacity to 50 GW by 2030.
