The Danish Energy Agency has approved plans for the 800 to 1,200 MW capacity Hesselø Offshore Wind Farm. The approval comes after a full environmental assessment and public consultation. The wind farm will be located in the Kattegat and connected to the grid at Hovegård High Voltage Station. The Hesselø site, which will feature wind turbines, cables, and power transformers, has been located further south from its original proposed location due to the identification of unsuitable seabed conditions during surveys. The plan establishes the potential for future construction, but does not yet allow the establishment of facilities. Tender bids are due by 1 April 2025. (4C Offshore)
