# Innovative self-sufficient aquaculture platform in Guangdong

"Haiwei-2" is a massive marine ranch designed to accommodate nearly 1 million golden pomfret fry, weighing around 100 tonnes. This 86-meter-long, 32-meter-wide, and 16.5-meter-high platform can hold 30,000 cubic meters of water for aquaculture and harvest over 500 tonnes of fish in one cycle. It operates self-sufficiently with a solar electricity system, allowing for unmanned operation and remote monitoring. This project reflects Guangdong Province's extensive efforts in deep-sea aquaculture development, offering a sustainable and high-capacity solution for fish farming in Liusha Bay.
