Iran's fishery exports are growing rapidly
Iran's aquaculture industry is experiencing significant growth, with exports of fisheries and aquaculture products reaching over 83,000 tons worth $140m in just five months, a 32% rise compared to the same period last year. The country's aquaculture sector is making strides in global production and has the potential for further growth. Iran's positive balance of $520m in the previous year and its capacity for up to $2bn in fishery exports highlight its role as a model for the region. The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization recognises Iran's central role in the fishing and aquaculture industry, positioning it as a model for neighbouring countries. (
