Irish seafood firm receives large investment to improve sustainability and quality
Louth-based seafood company, Morgan's Fine Fish, has completed a €270,000 ($285,000) investment in energy efficiency and competitiveness. With support from the Brexit Processing Capital Support Scheme, the 163-year-old firm received nearly €100,000 in funding. The investment includes the introduction of solar panels and the replacement of a 20-year-old refrigeration system to enhance energy efficiency. Morgan's Fine Fish aims to use premium technology to offer fresh or frozen fish products to the market and remain competitive in the international seafood industry. The investment is expected to future-proof the company and facilitate the development of new products for the European market. (
