Norweigan fish farmer signs agreement to develop farms in China
Norwegian salmon firm Baring Farsund has signed a cooperative agreement to develop partnerships with local government and several seafood companies in Guangdong province, China. The collaboration aims to promote the deepwater off-shore mariculture industry in waters off Guangdong province, focusing on land-based salmon and tuna farming, as well as the production of various species in cages off the local coast. Baring has also signed a contract with investment fund Shanwei Baiqian Agricultural Investment Development and manufacturer Guangdong Nanfeng Wang Technology, committing to share resources and technologies to promote exchanges and cooperation between China and Europe in marine fisheries.
