Ocean Sun to propel India's floating solar industry

Norway's Ocean Sun has partnered with India’s NHPC to harness the nation's substantial floating solar potential, currently underutilised at less than 350MW of the available 300GW. The collaboration aims to transform Indian reservoirs into green power generators, starting with a demonstration project expected by year-end. The initiative aligns with India’s goal to achieve 500GW of renewable energy by 2030 and represents a significant step towards enhancing sustainable energy infrastructure with innovative floating solar technology.
