Saudi Arabia and China to increase aquaculture investment
Investments in Saudi Arabia's aquaculture sector are expected to grow after discussions at the Global Investment Promotion Conference in Shenzhen, China. Representatives from Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture engaged with over 60 specialised Chinese firms to explore opportunities and foster expertise exchange. The National Fisheries Development Program, aiming to draw $5 billion in private sector investment by the end of the decade, played a key role. The program focuses on expanding aquaculture to create jobs, enhance seafood availability for export, and contribute to economic growth. (
