Sea Cleaners launch renewable-powered plastic-collecting boat

Climate-positive content creator Sam Bentley has showcased The Sea Cleaners' plastic-eating boat, the Manta, in a viral video. The boat, which runs for up to 20 hours a day using solar and wind power, includes a waste-to-energy conversion unit to turn collected plastic into fuel. The Manta can extract three tons of plastic waste from the ocean per hour, sorting it into categories for recycling. The boat also features a crane to lift larger items from the water and smaller boats for skimming plastic waste in shallow waters. (One Green Planet)
