Shell launches megawatt charger for electric vessels and trucks in Amsterdam

Shell has inaugurated its first self-developed megawatt charger for both shipping vessels and electric trucks at the Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam (ETCA) in the Netherlands. Integrated into ETCA’s power and hydrogen value chain, the Shell Megawatt Charger supports local operators and facilitates high-power charging solutions across marine and road transport sectors. The system, featuring two charging arms, accommodates a wide range of vessels and vehicles, providing fast and flexible charging. Vessels with 500kWh to 5MWh batteries can fully recharge within two hours. The innovation aligns with Shell's goal to decarbonise the logistics sector and offer cleaner energy solutions.  (Offshore Energy)
