Veramis aims to reduce scope 3 emissions 22.5% by 2030

Veramaris, a company specialising in natural algal oil for alternative omega-3 sources, has announced a scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction target to cut absolute scope 3 emissions by 22.5% by 2030, compared to a 2021 baseline. This commitment follows a 27% lower product carbon footprint in an updated environmental product declaration. Veramaris had previously set a science-based target in August 2022 to limit global warming and states that the new scope 3 target strengthens its climate commitments. The company focuses on decarbonising its operations and implementing technical and operational improvements to reduce its overall carbon footprint. (The Fish Site)
